"I NEED A NEW HOME"

Dogs on this page are usually those we have bred, or are sired by our dogs. We are occasionally asked by fellow breeders to let people know they have dogs back. There will be full detail below.

9 year old Jake, has to be 'out by Christmas' from his home due to separation. He is in the Swindon area and is apparently a really sweet natured boy who just wants a hug. He is castrated and apparently very overweight with long claws, so probably hasn't had much exercise.

I don't have any more details or a picture, but please contact Dobermanns In Need - Chris Omar on 01276 855326.

Dogs NOW HOMED

AXEL has now been homed in Feb 2011 with Pete and Sheila from Newark. Thank you for your enquiries.

VINCE, our 19 month old moved to his new home in July 2010 with Jason and Becky who recently lost their old Dobe, and he has settled in like he's always been there. We are permanently in the debt of Dave & Gay who fostered him for us for a couple of months until the perfect home came along.

TAYLOR from Binfield dog rescue- had a new home with Stewart & Mel with their Aritaur & Leibwache pack just before Christmas 2008. We're so sorry that Taylor died at Christmas 2009, but what a wonderful home she had with you for just that year.

WiNSTON the abandoned young Dobe male found in a car park in Southport in early January has a lovely new home. Thanks for all the interest and support for him.

This was Colberg the Rottie, who was put to sleep on Monday because no-one got him out of the pound in Dublin.

Someone bred him. I hope they are truly ashamed of themselves as Dublin Council should be, for killing this dog.

Glenda (below) from Dublin who was due to be put to sleep, has a wonderful new home with Mary & her family in Cheshire.
Thanks to Billy and family for bringing Glenda to England for her new owners.

JJ the one year old male who went back to his breeders, has gone successfully to his new home with Bron & Andy in Norfolk.

David & his wife are delighted with CRUZ from Ireland who goes to the beach most days with them. Lucky dog.

NEO now has a lovely new home What a doll he is.

DIEGO (right) spent 5 months in kennels in Ireland, before going to live with Cass & Lee in Telford with their 1 yr old daughter (a complete natural around dogs), and Tom the rescued ex racing Greyhound (not surprised he didn't make the grade as he moved about an inch all the time he was here!). Transformed from a distressed, miserable boy to an already devoted dog, Diego has found love and stability with his new family. Pictured above right visiting last week for some starter advice on how to reduce his stress induced circling.

ROCKY (below) the 14 month old entire male whose owners left him behind when they emigrated, came to England on Sunday night with us to live with Claire in Cheshire who has two lovely bitches for him to idolise! Rocky is in love with Claire's youngest bitch Prada

Keano who was due to be put to sleep at the Wicklow Pound in Ireland, has a lovely new home in Ireland. The white marks are dead hairs from some sort of damage. Well done Fionnualla for finding this poor boy a loving home..

TIA, the pub dog from Tyne & Wear now lives very happily with her friend the Jack Russell and owner Simon in Southampton.

Thankfully, there is a great network of Dobe people who work tirelessly to ensure we don't lose a Dobermann. It is a wicked waste of a great life. If you can offer a home to a Dobe in need, call or mail us and we will gladly offer advice on re-homing a dog and if we know of one suitable who might fit with your family. You do not need to have a 'perfect' home. You need a good heart, a steady environment, some experience depending on the dog to be matched with you, lots of energy and be home at least part of the day.

Badly undernourished, Sascha (left) was around 5 -6 months old and living with a 2 year old Weimaraner bitch who we also rescued from the same owner in Oldham where they were left all day alone due to a marriage break up. Monique in Manchester stepped in to collect them both, and Sascha has one of the best homes possible with her new owners Geoffrey & Linda from the South Coast. Pictures coming very soon.

On the 18th Dec, we also heard from Sue and her husband who wrote:

Hi Jay

I think you will remember your involvement in rehoming Sascha a badly nourished Dobermann pup last year. Monique persuaded the original owner to also give up a Weimaraner she owned and you contacted Weimaraner Rescue about her. Monique kindly collected Bonnie and transfered her over to myself. ( We have adopted that day as Bonnie's official birthday !!) Thought you might like to see these photos of Bonnie at home here with us. She gets on well with my 2 oldies,a bitch of 13 and a dog of 10. We lost 2 other dear oldies within 15 weeks of each other over the summer, and Bonnie has certainly helped us,she is so sweet and loving.
She was underweight at only 18kg when we got her but has now put on some weight and looks great,in fact my Vet commented on her fitness only last week.

My family and myself will always be grateful to you and Monique for the kindness you did for this little Weimaraner. Kind regards, Sue Costello
